    I’ve just started a small business selling musical instruments and I’m hoping to sell to distributors in the EU (although mainly in the UK). All my distributors will be EU VAT registered companies.

    I’m not VAT registered, my annual sales fall well under the registration threshold. My sales to each EU country will be low, no more than 5000 Euros.

    Am I required to register for UK VAT and make EC Sales List returns?
